    • Data Analytics for State-of-the-Art Care
      • Big data platforms are being developed by a myriad of healthcare stakeholders to improve care for patients. These platforms are expected to unlock real-world patient care data from millions of electronic health records (EHRs) in many instances and more securely process and analyze the data to provide immediate high-quality feedback and clinical decision support to providers.
    • HIT Security: Getting Worse Before It
      • Every year the Michigan-based Ponemon Institute releases its annual patient privacy and security study and the results are somewhat startling-90 percent of respondents say they’ve had at least one data breach over the past two years, while 38 percent have had more than five data breaches in the same time period.
