Panel “Health Information Exchange: Will 2014 Mark the Seismic Shift?”
A 2012 survey from Black Book Rankings on the health information exchange market indicates more industry technology executives are exploring adoption at this point over actual implementation of the technology. The survey, of 4,000 health care and insurance organization executives, found that 80% of U.S. hospitals and 97% of physicians have yet to implement an HIE system. Given the significant emphasis on exchanging data in health care reform and other regulations, the HIE market appears to poised for significant growth. This session will explore models for sustainability, value creation and emerging models to exchange data.
This session will discuss a range of challenges and objectives of health information exchange including:
